the birth anniversary was Celebrated of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi (153rd) and Lal Bahadur Shastri (118th) at MDS Senior Secondary School, Hiran Magri, Sector 3, Udaipur. The program started with a holy prayer.
Inspiring incidents from Shastriji’s life describing his simplicity and commitment were shared with the students. The students were also made aware of the immense contribution of Gandhiji in the freedom struggle of India. In addition, Gandhiji’s hymns and songs (Vaishnav Jan To, Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram and De Di Hum Azadi) were sung melodically by the school students.
Director of MDS Dr. Shailendra Somani extended his best wishes to the entire MDS family on the occasion. He suggested to learn the values of simplicity, truth and non-violence from the two great men. The program ended with the singing of the national anthem.
